The intrinsically safe E500 rotary sensor is ATEX and IECEx approved for use in explosive gas, vapour, and dust environments. It is designed for industrial and scientific feedback applications where reliable performance in hazardous areas is required.

Like all Positek sensors, it is calibrated to a customer-specified rotation angle between 16 and 160 degrees and produces a linear output proportional to rotation, with a machined registration mark identifying the calibrated midpoint.

The E500 offers excellent repeatability and stability across a wide temperature range and features a rugged stainless-steel body, flange, and shaft for long service life.

Flange or servo mounting options simplify installation and environmental sealing is rated to IP67. The sensor operates with galvanically isolated amplifiers such as the Positek X005, supporting 0.5–9.5V or 4–20mA outputs with cable lengths up to 1 km.
