The intrinsically safe X500 rotary position sensor is ATEX and IECEx approved for use in hazardous gas and vapour environments. It is designed for industrial and scientific feedback applications requiring reliable performance in hazardous areas.

The sensor is calibrated to a customer-specified rotation angle between 16° and 160° and provides a linear output proportional to the angle of rotation with integrated EMC protection.

A machined registration mark identifies the calibrated midpoint for alignment.

The rugged stainless steel body and shaft provide durability, while anodised aluminum flange or servo mounts support flexible installation.

Environmental sealing is rated to IP65 or IP67 depending on the selected cable or connector, and the sensor operates with galvanically isolated amplifiers such as the Positek X005 supporting 0.5–9.5V or 4–20mA outputs.
